12:04 pm: Update
I just got back from getting fitted at the GQ Headquarters. It was a really strange experience because its in a building with like 12 other publications and the place was just filled with models. To be honest I felt like a fucking scrub in that place but its all good and everyone was super nice. I am still getting used to the idea of being a best man and having to probably toast on national tv. Someone even suggested that I just imagine that I am Sirith but say nice things instead of nasty things. We'll see........

BTW I don't like the suit. Its a seer (sp?) sucker suit and is practically the opposite of a traditional style tux (which I kinda preferred). My brother really likes the suits so that is what matters, I will keep you all updated as things happen.

This is not a political video but it does have a political figure. I thought it was funny.

08:53 pm: Today Show
So here I am at the Plaza Hotel in New York Fucking City! I am currently pleasantly drunk on expensive mixed drinks (cucumber and pomegranite mojito anyone?) and just taking it easy in this ridicolously  lavish room. This Hotel itself is an amazing building to be in, the decorations and detail is just spectacular. I have NO idea what these rooms cost but I would have a feeling that they would be certainly out of my range. So the deal is I have to do a fitting tomorrow and a rehearsal on Tuesday. The wedding "should" be on at 8:30am (even though I will be there at 3:45am and supposedly they are going to show pictures of my arrival.........) and I have no idea how long, how much, or even what they are going to show (other than my arrival to the studio which for some reason they specifically told me and obviously the ceremony). I am going to get back to the spinning and what not......

It's nice to know that the first factory to reopen for Chrysler will be one to build a car that has only sold 25,000 in it's entirety. Tax payer money at it's best!

Until people realize how poisonous the labor unions are to this country, we will see this happen in every industry. Our government is in effect supporting the conditions for the public sector to take over under the guise of protecting private citizens.

See......it's just not the auto unions either...................

Keep your eyes open for them and never forget that just because someone is capable of typing meaningless shit into meaningless blogs that it doesn't mean they should. The best thing to do is not to encourage it.

12:30 pm: Guns
I own them to protect myself from people like you. The handgun in my nightstand is for criminals, the bolt action I own is for history and the AR-15 was a good investment. Travel to the neighborhoods I have been to and tell me that only criminals should have guns <cause they will always>.

When you see this, post another Buffy quote in your LJ. Let's see how long this can go on.

02:29 pm: I like this little anecdote.....

I was talking to a friend of mine's little girl, and she said she wanted to be President some day. Both of her parents, liberal Democrats, were standing there, so I asked her, "If you were President what would be the first thing you would do?"

She replied, "I'd give houses to all the homeless people."

"Wow... what a worthy goal." I told her, "You don't have to wait until you're President to do that. You can come over to my house and mow, pull weeds, and sweep my yard, and I'll pay you $50. Then I'll take you over to the grocery store where the homeless guy hangs out, and you can give him the $50 to use toward a new house."

She thought that over for a few seconds while her Mom glared at me, then she looked me straight in the eye and asked, "Why doesn't the homeless guy come over and do the work, and you can just pay him the $50?"

I said, "Welcome to the Republican Party!"

Her folks still aren't talking to me.=

01:30 pm:                            So recently a friend of mine applied for a job at my office. There were perhaps three other candidates, one as qualified as herself, the other two not so much. There has been alot of talk over this particular position (it was just an admin position), alot of finger pointing and whatnot as why things turned out the way the did. It is so incredible to think how great people think they really are when applying for a job, and how utterly disappointed they feel when they do not get it. The reality is, that none of those applicants got the job. My company after waffling for about a month on who to hire, decided they were going to hire someone internal to my company. It is always good to see people perservere when things do not go there way. I know two of the applicants and both of them are doing great at their apparent rejection from the job. One blames another person using them as a scapegoat to why they did not get the job, the other one just accepted it as a fact of life.

People's perceptions of how things are amaze me the most, that is why I always enjoyed pulling those strings of perception on people that should truly know better. More often than not people give me too much credit, more often than not, people give THEMSELVES way too much credit. I wonder how the applicants would feel if they found out that no matter how much they lied, or pandered, or waited patiently for a call back, that no matter what, the job was never theirs? This all has been a lesson for me on how people are, on how humanity is in general, in how quickly people move to blame another for their problems.

                            BRAVO!! Hook line and sinker!!
